Team Fortress 2
Reviving Script (Possible Exploit)
Do you remember the rapid fire Pistol script back in the release of TF2?

The same script can be used to revive a patient about 800% faster.

alias "+rs" "alias reps +rsse;+rsse" alias "+rsse" "+attack;wait 1;-rsse" alias "-rsse" "-attack;wait 1;reps" alias "+rsse" "+attack;wait 1;-rsse" alias "-rsse" "-attack;wait 1;reps" alias "+rsse" "+attack;wait 1;-rsse" alias "-rsse" "-attack;wait 1;reps" alias "reps" "+rsse" alias -rs "alias reps none" alias none "" bind YOUR BIND HERE +rs

You can increase or decrease the "click rate", by adding or removing following lines.
alias "+rsse" "+attack;wait 1;-rsse"
alias "-rsse" "-attack;wait 1;reps"

- Create a .cfg file (for example revive.cfg) in your Steam/SteamApps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/cfg folder.

- If TF2 is open, type in "exec YOUR CONFIG NAME.cfg"

- Hold down your binded key on the person you want to revive.

- Enjoy.

Note: This Script seems to go hand in hand with your FPS. It could happen it doesn't work properly.
Note2: Only works if "Medigun continues healing without holding down fire button." enabled in the advanced options.

If someone knows more about scripts, feel free to improve and edit it.

Wait, I thought that increasing revive rate by rapid clicking was by getting an initial burst each time you click, wouldn't that get disabled by the beam not breaking when you release the fire button?
Or rather, shouldn't you need the advanced option disabled, not enabled?

The fun fact is, if you release your fire button, the medic will stop his healing a short amount of time before continuing on healing without holding the fire button.

So it starts healing again (getting the bonus again) when you release the fire button.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Valve you suck SO MUCH at coding.
Oh wow, Valve Mann Up servers actually have sv_allow_wait_command 1. I thought everyone disabled that these days because of, well, script exploits... :)

Though I suspect that even if they were to tighten down and disable the wait command, you could still do this with a mouse macro. Might not be quite as fast, but who knows.
Added video. Yes, horrible german accent incoming.

I have a program called Speed Auto Clicker. You can set your mouse click speed as fast as you want.
It is a third party program so i don't use it to avoid VAC or anything.
Does the cfg interfere with other classes's cfg once is executed?

Yeah, programs like this are definitely in a gray area because the way they hook the mouse inputs usually involves some kind of DLL injection or other stuff like that, which is very closely related to how cheats do things, which is why VAC watches for that stuff.

I think a general rule of thumb is "if there was a VAC ban for this piece of software, how many legitimate users would get wrongfully banned", and for stuff like Logitech's own macro software, that number would be, like, hundreds of thousands, I'm sure. So there's very little risk that Valve would ever VAC-ban people for using it, and so I don't feel unsafe using it.

I wouldn't use lesser-known utilities, though, based on that general principle.

I gues no? as long as you don't the same bind in multiple scripts.
Can't say for sure, i usually don't work with scripts.

This is completely true. The wait command waits for one frame (client-side frame, not server-side), which means that if you are running at 250 fps, it will wait 1/250th of a second, regardless of the fact that the server's framerate is probably locked at 66.

You can test this by connecting to a dedicated server (not a listen server, i.e. creating a server from the main menu) and doing something like wait 2500; echo hi. If you have 250 fps locally, then it will wait for exactly 10 seconds, then print "hi" to the console.

I'm not sure whether going above 66 fps will make the script faster at all; it depends on whether the revive stuff is handled/predicted client side, or if it gets funneled into the 66 commands per second that your client sends to the server. In any case, being below 66 fps will certainly make it slower.

My medic script has a bind whenever I pop uber (team message and voice command), but it showed on every other classes whenever I right-click (even on spec), so I had to manually edit every class cfg to prevent it.

That's why I'm asking :)
Well, the script isn't class, nor weapon bound, so if you exec it, every class with every weapon will click fast if you hold down that buttton you binded.

Suppose you set up the script so that it binds Q to the quick-revive thing, and then you put "exec revive_really_fast.cfg" in your medic.cfg.

You'd then want to put "unbind Q" in your other classes' cfgs. Or "bind Q do_something_else" if you want other classes to have Q do a different thing, rather than nothing at all.

Haha. Probably the entire reason the exploit exists is Valve put some sort of healing boost in to eliminate the difference in heal rate between someone who did and didn't have the option enabled.

Almost makes me want to play Medic. Almost. Except for the part about not wanting the feed the meta nerds and the fact that Support classes are frustrating.

Did we ever test if the healing boost occurs in PvP? Despite how lazy Valve is, they MIGHT fix it if you could use it boost heal rates.

Only works on revive cabins. Living being getting healed normal.
