why the hell boot camp mvm is stupid?

seriously
1) you cant get good teams, everyone goes bad classes and stuff.
2) when a better player with MvM expierence tries to help, they either:
1. ignore
2. tell him that the class they're using is neccessary, when it is not
3. even kick him
so i played advanced mvm boot camp, rottenburg. we started the wave, we had:
1 scout
2 soldier
1 sniper
1 engineer (me)
1 demoman.
i already at the start told them for one of them to go heavy. they didnt listen. we had a really bad credit rating, my sentry already got destroyed because of the soldiers shooting it, and the team didn't help at all. then i voted to restart wave, everyone voted yes. so i told sniper to go heavy, and the other soldier go medic. (mvm meta)
he refused, but rather voted to kick me.
the else of the server agreed and kicked me.
why is boot camp so stupid.

it costs alot for me to get mvm tickets, mostly because i cant sell my killstreaked weps for tickets. (the killstreaks are not wasted), so i play boot camp.
most of the time i deal with horrible teams.

P.S. i use boot camp mvm not for fun, but rather for practice.

I wouldn't bother going advanced in bootcamp if you are hoping to win. Keep a spare tod ticket and play Mannup as much as you like, you can redo already completed missions or leave before the end of the last wave.

as far as i know, ive played an mvm tour and we all followed the meta and succeeded (except on 2 missions where we had sniper instead of medic)

needing a heavy and medic instead of being able to play with a soldier and sniper makes you stupid, especially in boot camp where you aren't meant to take it seriously and it's just to pratice you skills

People use bootcamp to practice as well, and step outside of the meta that people so strictly enforce in Mann Up, so they don't appreciate it being applied in boot camp.

Specifically to your situation, I believe you mean the soldier bots destroyed your sentry, that's more of a failure of positioning and upgrades and such. You can't just keep smacking it with a wrench and expect it to stay up.

As far as "the meta", while it does work to get through 2C waves, there are other ways to do it, and some are better as well. Specifically with the Rottenburg, there's not quite as much spam as Mannhattan, so medic isn't really needed, and Heavy can be overrated in some cases. Hell, in Bavarian Botbash you don't even need a medic picker and opens up for other options.

Realize that is the issue instead of blaming your team. That's the first big step.

From there, read some guides, try out some different things when you do play engie, and observe what other engies are doing when you play other classes, to see what works and what doesn't.

You're looking at it all wrong. You first have to consider that about 95% (being generous) of the internet is stupid. Now factor out basic knowledge and growth that comes from living experience and you are left with frozen concentrated stupidity. The best part is, you just might be one of them.
