MVM RED and BLU mixed

I was discussing about that in another thread, but we were derailing it a bit so I'll post that here. As most of you know, at the very beginning MVM was planned as a mix of BLU - RED teams, then cause of testers getting confused they made RED only. It's only a cosmetic (well, about that, all game is about cosmetics anyways xD) variation but I think it would be nice and symbolic of the fight against a common enemy to see that, so I was thinking, why don't they just make it as romevision is? You can enable/disable mixed teams so that who will enjoy that and don't get confused by that can do it. If you try and get confused, just disable it again. I know some of you will think it's not such a big thing, but personally I would really like to be able to play with mixed teams, and make something like that will cost anything to Valve, and every player will be free to decide wich way is more comfortable for him.

The BLU team was playable with the RED team on the testing before the update were released. The BLU team was so confusing in there so it was removed. It may be possible that Valve will add the team because the bots becomes from "Gray Mann", so they may make a new GRAY team or something, but I just told you why there aren't a BLU team as Humans/Defenders.

Is known that testers had problems about confusion, but to be honest I dunno details about that. I think aswell it's kinda hard to take a robot for one of your team mates or viceversa. And for sure the skins were different but they all count as one team only, if not only some of the characters could benefit of dispenser or medi-beam? And engie sentry would have kill half of the defender team xD So problem was all about a visual confusion, that in my opinion is still hard, and yeah they could make bots totally grey, or grey and black etc.

Just why didn't they make the bots being other color than blue and red? Why should they be blue, instead of, for example, grey? The addition of the 3rd team, even unplayable, would really solve lots of damned problems. And what was so confusing about the bots being the same color as one of the teams? They are looking differently dammit. What were these damn problems? They were killing each other instead of fighting robots? Couldn't they make the teams unable to hurt each other? Why?! What?! Why?!

It is also confusing for those players who have played Team Fortress 2 for a long time, because when you see RED and BLU teams together it will be confusing. Also, there may be some issues. What if a BLU Sentry will kill the RED team? What if a BLU Medic will heal a RED class with his blue beam, or will Übercharge him? Anyway, following the TF2 mode, the BLU team was always the "bad guys" of the game.

Yeah thanks for bumping this 3yo thread. There's already a plugin that will do the job of setting some of the defenders' the BLU skin.
