What to do for new players in mvm
So I feel bad for the people who just started mvm.

Telling them to go bootcamp is like telling them to go to hell to learn all the bad ways to play mvm so they can be kicked in adv. However, teaching them/telling them what to do in adv mission is stupid because its advanced and the basics should be known/some are just hopeless. And finally doing lower difficulty missions is just like going boot camp.

What do?

Guides only help so much and even then it isnt enough sometimes.

so i came to this conclusion if people are starting mvm they have to basically start with friends for the best enjoyment or else they are faced with scrubs in boocamp/other difficulties other than 2 city. But In 2 city it may be too difficulty for them and they may end up taking forever to learn/being carried.

I'd say that if a person has at least some basic/lower average skill at TF2 in general and has a willingness to learn, they should just hop into Two Cities, friends or not. Just be friendly and ask for advice and most people are willing to give it when they don't have to initiate the interaction. That's exactly how I got started and it worked wonderfully.

1 thing which would help is by doing MvM tutorial. Passing it ain't requirement to play Mann Up but you get 2 free untradeable Tour of Tudy tickets and 1 Squad Surplus.

Maybe ask them to watch youtube videos and llok up help on the internet.

I myself is a kind of a newb, i'm not a pro at this mode, but i'll gladly take any advice players can give me.

The problem with looking up youtube videos is that they are often biased towards the player's feelings on the class. If I made a youtube video about a guide for Mann vs Machine I would practically eliminate the need for any soldier or pyro support, and replace them with two more heavies.

This however is not the most ideal thing because then you may have trouble with tanks, considering you only have an engineer and demoman to deal big damage to tanks, due to 75% minigun resistance.

Telling them to go bootcamp is like telling them to go to hell
So you're telling me, If i'm told to goto the gym or invited to goto a gym to train for something. I'm being asked to goto hell? wtf

the amount of bad advice/ways to play there is horrible. I mean seriously I had a heavy telling me to shoot the tracks because it does more damage. Lose the round and I go pyro to deal with the tank and the wave was won. His comment immediately afterwards was "see attacking the tracks does more damage and the tank died"
