There's generally little need to have more than 1 sniper+1 soldier on the team, since they will together destroy everything that moves.
Engineer has his uses, but it can be left out due to the great starting money.
It's better to not have a spy or heavy, since there are alot of tanks and the giants aren't that much of a thread, the crowd control classes can deal with them.
So a decont team would be with the mecha engine meta with sniper instead of demoman, the heavy can be any decont damage class.
So we have
scout--------- money collecting should be equal to doing damage.
soldier--------just great damage, but a bit weaker on the spy+tank subwave due to his explosive weapon.
pyro----------great damage and safe tank killing.
engie-----always usefull for ammo and the scout+tank subwave
sniper----just amazing for UMedics and giants, since they are bunched up together and one shot can cause more explosive headshots.
damage class (demoknight, grenade knight, soldier, the best is one with tank killing abilities)
And in case I didn't mention, standing on top of a tank as a demoknight, scout or pyro makes you immume for spies, remember that.
I wanna see wave 666 with all scouts, all pyros, all heavies, all medics, all engis, all sniper/spy strategies
Because why the ♥♥♥♥ not
The only really special thing is the penetration and no ammo.
Ghost town works decent with the bison due to how the map is (one path) and the big amount of starting money.
But guess what,6 people beat the game with a bison,2-3 people can carry the server with a primary weapon of soldier.
Point at the bots and shoot? Not much to it.
It's a lot easier than it seems, and there's a lot of just 'going through the motions' if you're playing it with good friends and/or you use a class that's really familiar to you. The only hard part is the spy/tank subwave... most teams of randoms just don't have the tank-busting power to deal with it.
Me, I like going Air Strike Soldier. I main sniper normally, and I'll play it if I feel like having an insane damage score, but bouncing around like a maniac shooting off 16 405-damage crockets at a time is SO much fun.
