Team Fortress 2
MVM needs a ping limiter like in casual
Title says it all.
Sorry, but anything over 150 to 200 ping is considered unplayable for me, which might sound picky, but if you've ever experienced how it is to play the game with that amount of ping compared to 50 to 100, especially with hitscan weapons, you'll know exactly what I mean.

Volvo pls fix :steamsalty:

Not enough players in the world playing MvM for that to work.

It did, they just broke it in the last 2 years or so.

Queue times would see a massive increase in length if this were added, especially for the less populated operations (i.e. not Two Cities) which are already very long.

As a player whose ping never drops below 600 I disagree. It would also mean way longer time to queue up to find a server so its a lose/lose situation

Yeah, there definitely is more people playing in casual mode than in MVM, that I agree on.
Though I gotta admit, for a co-op game mode that got released 5 years after TF2 originally came out, still being able to find games in Mann Up and Boot Camp with other people to play with after almost 7 years isn't that difficult, so it's not severely lacking in players compared to say, how many people play the first Killing Floor these days.
Maybe there's just more people on BC than in Mann Up servers, because it's free to play lol.

But hey, if Valve doesn't want to add a ping limiter for those who do play a lot of MVM, guess I'll just have to suck it up then. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Part of how you can still find players easily is that the matchmaker doesn't have a hard ping limit, otherwise it would have a way harder time trying to match players up especially for low population regions. It does try to prioritize nearby players to each other, but there's only so much it can do when people don't always play the same tours and missions, and that most players tend to be concentrated in the US and EU. When that happens, it tries to compromise by looking for a server with the lowest average ping to all players matched up.

Your best bet is just to find as many friends in your region to play with, MvM is abandonware as far as we know.

Play with some friends that has same region with you. Or play mvm in certain time where people are mostly playing. Otherwise u wont get your nearest server in your area.

Would prefer joining after a hour insteed of spending that hour at leaving games that are not luxemburk/stockholm. Dunno how hard it would for them to lift ass and add a line just so we have the same settings shared from casual, not gonna play that hong kong, la-x and whatever else they throw us so saying "there is not enough players" don't mean anything to us, being patient if it means getting quality over quantity.

considering casual is literally built off mvm match maker, I'm very surprised the console commands don't work for both.
