The problem is that all these perks come with the first point, including a 15% rocket speed boost and +15% splash radius. Next points only add more speed and splash on your rockets, which aren't worth $300 anymore.
I play without Rocket Specialist all the time. You can still do everything a Soldier with RS can except stun, which isn't that big of a deal.
Lack of damage fall-off is nice but not neccesary.
I repeat tours. I market tickets so they don't get used up. 1 tour is to play Expert, another was an accident.
I have Silicon Slaughter. I think that says enough.
Counter Argument: You could have played all the games with the same class, same team and same strategy over and over again. This inceases your "badge" but doesnt increase your skill in any way since you do the same thing repeated.
The Tour count is nothing more but a increment how much tickets you spent on Mann Up.
And Rocket Specialist is a crutch upgrade for bad soldiers. It is a nice to have, but no reason to be kicked for and isnt required in the slighest for playing Soldier.
Keep in mind, Oil Spill, Steel Trap, Mecha Engine and Gear Grinder were all before Two Cities and the upgrade rocket specialist. All soldiers played without it, and it worked fine.
