I am new to Steam and TF2 ... Let me know some basics that is a priority or a-must-know thing .. THNX

Be patient and remember it's just a game. Seriously, that goes farther than anything else.

Otherwise, remember that the starting weapons really are as good as anything else, they're all all-around decent performance, unlocks are just more specialized.

Oh, and PUSH THE CART. Focus on objectives rather than kill counts. Clear defenses, block offenses, PUSH THE CART. Additionally, if you're defending against the bomb, touch it. Get up there and touch it, that prevents it from moving if it's almost at a checkpoint. Sure you're going to be shot at, but it's going to keep the thing from going, which shooting from a distance WON'T do.

Additionally, don't just run out disguised as an enemy if you're a spy. Try not to waste cloak either, disguise as someone on your team, get out of sight, THEN change close to or inside the base. The reason is that a spy seen cloaking, or someone running into the base as your color, is a dead giveaway that it's time to start spy checking. Run in as your own demo or soldier, though, and they'll be looking for an enemy, not a teammate.

Focus on the objectives. Points mean nothing in this game and usually only show how long you have been playing in a server, so don't worry about how many kills you get in a match.
