My backstory is that he was an albino and used to work for the British Columbia Fire Brigade, where he learned how to control fire. At first, none of the team liked him apart from Engineer, but after they realized he wasn't mad, due to the fact he simply made the Pyrovision Goggles so he couldn't see people burning to death. However, his face is covered in knife wounds, so he wears a mask. Also, he is afraid that the team will shun him if they discover that he is an albino.

Pyro is Abraham Lincoln, no really there is enough evidence in TF2 for it. Including a picture of him with a flamethrower and something involving his top hat being destroyed and him going mad. So yeah, Abraham Lincoln.
