Best/Worst hat craft?

Today I was doing the usual procrastinating, watching the odd TF2 troll video when I suddenly remebered I had 4 bombers in my Backpack collecting dust. I had tried selling them but no one wanted to buy them, so I decided to take a spin on the wheel of fortune; leaving myself at the mercy of the TF2 gods.

I had never heard anyone profiting from hat crafts, there was the odd story of someone getting a Team Captain or El Jefe but I knew I was just as likely to uncrate an Unusual. So knowing the stakes I took them anyway, let's be honest, the fetching price of a craft hat is usually around 1 ref anyway. I rebuilt the first two bombers and out popped a Aladdin's Private Reserve, my excitement was quickly overcame by curiosity, how much was it worth? I went onto Backpack and saw it was only worth 1.33 aswell. I didn't care though, I was a sucker for smoke particle effects.

I then had my second go, it hadn't been bad so far, the item seemed pretty cool. So I put in the hats and out popped a Pyrotechnic tote, I was immediatly struck with excitement, I was in search of a pyro misc to fill my second slot. Although it was worth 1.66 ref I didn't really care much like the first, these where not overly used items like the fast learner or anything so I was pretty happy.

My losses only amounted to 1 ref realistically. I got 2 cool items despite all the horror stories. So what I wanted to ask you guy's, have you gotten any cool, rare or terrible items through crafting?

The first hat I ever crafted with 3 ref was a Dashin' Hashshashin and I soon sold it for 10 ref! :P The hats after that all sucked. xD

Even Though this is a really old topic, anyone who pops by on this one, just know that yes hat crafting is all just luck, but sometimes its really worth it, like 2 times for me were I crafted sub zeros out of craft hats that I bought for 1 ref each [total of 13 ref profit both times]

ITS ALL ABOUT THE YOLO, also, I wouldn't advice crafting until you got at a minimum of 12 ref, just for saftey
