1) It's unnecessary.
2) If it existed, then less players would be playing in night and people would be complaining in the TF2 Disscussions and forums regarding how certain classes are less useful in night.
3) If it existed, then it may cause lag and if it does severe lag to some people in general, then Valve may change the system requirements and people would complain once again in the Discussions/Forums.
It can be a good idea but it is WAY too late to add the idea now.

As you see the day and night cycle looks quite amazing (something that i honestly never thought i would see in a TF2 map) and it doesn't lags at all, another cool thing is that it also rains.
This map is a great example of day and night cycle and its awesome :D
People who care about graphics only are not gamers, they're just graphical admirers..
not always .-.
and it would require every map to be significantly redesigned. which isn't gonna happen.
This will make more people to want festives! :D
