no revenge crits from mini sentrys?

I was just playing CTF and il set up a mini sentery and they usually destroy it but my shotgun (cant remember the name at the moment) doesnt get revenge crits which its supost to. is this a bug?

Maybe this is valves way of "nerfing" the minisentry. :P

You only obtain criticals upon destruction, and you obtain one for each assist and two for each kill your Sentry has gotten; if it has gotten these after it is destroyed, you will not get any criticals. Likewise, if it is destroyed without having assisted or killed anyone, then it will not award you any critical hits for the Frontier Justice.

okay, i can normaly gain them by blowing them up after i build them, but now thats not working?

Did you read? If your Sentry has not gotten any assists or kills, it will not give you any Frontier Justice revenge crits upon destruction; the manner in which it is destroyed, either by using your destruction tool or by enemies destroying them, does not matter. Both should allow you to get those revenge criticals if, and only if, your Sentry has assisted or killed a player before it was destroyed.

Ya i read that, but what im saying is that I remember being able too without it firing a single round when I first got it

That's not possible. Not without glitches, mods or other such applications; the Frontier Justice will only obtain guaranteed criticals if your Mini-Sentry, or Sentry, has killed or assisted a player in killing an enemy at the time of destruction. It should not be garnering you criticals without your Sentry firing a single shot.
