Team Fortress 2

[SOLVED] Team Fortress 2 isn't connected to Steam!
Okay, so there are many of these issues around, but I haven't seen the solution to it.

So, when I start Team Fortress 2, everything is normal. But, when I go into ITEMS, it says the load out is unavailable. It counts down from 30, and nothing. When the thing that counts down goes away, it says that I have no connection to Steam.
I can't enter the Mann Co. Store, enter the workshop, co op, or the PLAY MULTIPLAYER button. It always says something like "You must be connected to Steam to use this". Which is just crap because I AM CONNECTED TO STEAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I can make servers, but not join them. When I go into the server browser, it says "Steam Beta must be running to list servers". I don't know what I did to make this happen.

I have reported this as a bug, and nothing has been done yet...
Thank you for your time in reading this, please just post suggestions, I WANNA PLAY TEAM FORTRESS 2!

I have tried:
- Restarting Steam
- Restarting computer
- Searching web for help

PLEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSSSEEE HHHHEEEEELPPPPPP!!!!!!

Oooh.. and more thing, I'm getting Garry's Mod for my birthday ( :D ) ...
and I'm wondering if I would be able to connect to servers.. unlike Team Fortress 2..

Please excuse the cringe - I was 12 and innocent.

FIXED!!
In your Steam directory:
32 BIT:
Go to "Computer/ProgramFiles/Steam" There you should find SteamApps and Steam.exe
64 BIT:
Go to "Computer/ProgramFiles(x86)/Steam" There you should find SteamApps and Steam.exe)

Delete everything in your Steam folder except for "SteamApps" and "Steam.exe".
When everything is deleted, run Steam with "Steam.exe".
It will reinstall Steam and could take a while.
- You will NOT lose your games.
- You will NOT lose your progress/screenshots.

- The folder which contains games is "SteamApps". As stated above, this is NOT DELETED.
- All you are doing is refreshing steam's files.

Please stop saying "necro" because it sounds similar to a derogative word which hurts my feelings a lot when I hear it.

I've been experiencing this exact same problem and have also looked for an answer. Restarting Steam, restarting the computer, deleting all downloaded cache files haven't worked. Someone told me Steam was briefly unavailable for the 6/5 update. Briefly my ass.

When did this start for you?

Wait, mine's fixed.

I deleted everything in my Steam folder exept for "SteamApps" and "Steam.exe".
When everything else is deleted, run Steam with "Steam.exe".
It will reinstall Steam and could take a while.
It loses connection to steam every now and then. But that is fixed quickly most of the time.

It's something to do with your internet. Was it doing it before?

I have these issues that i can't join any servers sometimes, but it's better to wait for later when it's working again. It is Very Likely the issue is between Steam and your pc. So I reccomend you to wait for later when the connection between these 2 is working again.
note: when i read this discussion carefully, it looks the issue won't be fixed by time, is it?
