sorry buddy, In order to get strange weapons you need to either trade to get from another player (in which you need to be a premium member to get trade capabilities) or you can buy a key from the Mann Co. Store for a nominal $2.49 and uncrate a box you've found while playing. Depending on the crate you get, there will be a chance of uncrating a strange weapon. or hat. or paint.

There is ONE weapon that you can craft to a strange, use a frying pan + strange bacon grease (good luck with getting it tough :P)

Yeah, Stranges can only be obtained from using a key on most crates. YOu can trade for 'em, too, but some A. don't exist yet B. are extremely rare and henceforth expensive! If you want a good Strange, it's better to trade for it.

More than a few are on the community market for sale.

A fair amount of MVM generated stranges are going for pretty cheap.

But stuff like Strange Festives are expensive. I just sold my Festive Strange GL for $22 :)

Or, don't worry too much about strange weapons! You'll save a lot of time and effort trying to get them :D

The Strange Force-a-Nature, Fists of Steel, and Scottish Resistance you should be able to get pretty quickly; the FaN and ScoRes are both under a ref in price and people are literally giving away Fists of Steel. Good luck with the Caber and Huntsman, though; the Huntsman's worth about 6 times your backpack; the Caber 10.

It's an item you can uncrate that lets you make Pans into Strange Pans. They're pretty expensive, though.
