Generally though I'd advise you to craft neither, for the regular Sniper Rifle eventually is the most powerful and versatile choice unmatched by the unlocks. If It's just about getting a powerful sniping tool, none is as good as the regular one and it'd be smarter to save the metal for something else.
If you still want a new rifle, generally you can acquire them a lot cheaper via trading, they cost only 1 scrap metal each.
