What's a good strategy for the "Your Eternal Reward"?
Recently getting this knife, I already know how it works, but what I wish to know is, what's an good strategy to using it?

backstab people

Don't try it against bots/robots. Unless you already have a disguise, they'll probably just detect you and shoot you to death. It can work wonders at times against bots if you already have a disguise, but one flub and you're screwed. Also, backstab people.

You can use the saharan set with the dead ringer for easy beginning.

Thanks, I was wondering about the kill feed thing as well.
Go for distracted enemies, you're less likely to failstab with them.

Your Eternal Reward is, in my humble opinion, better on defense; Sentries, if you don't already have a Disguise, can toss a considerable wrench into your plans due to your inability to directly deal with them before stabbing someone. On defense, it's less likely to run into a level three Sentry, and more importantly, it's common to find players clustering around a Control Point, or preoccupied with dealing with a defensive line, in which case it becomes child's play to backstab them.

That being said, you really want to stay out of sight until you get a Disguise; even then, you still want to stay away from prying eyes even more than normal, but backstabbing multiple players in a row becomes easier. This is especially the case when a player has just checked another, in case he was a Spy, and has less reason to shoot a Rocket at your feet; this is especially true if their situation is dire.

Once you get a Disguise it becomes much more simple to backstab players, due to how there's a lack of a backstab sound, which means that players aren't as alerted as they generally are; many of the same tactics a good Spy will use apply to this weapon, but it has some nuances. Such as ditching a 'slow' Disguise to catch up to a faster class, however you lose some possible advantages, such as manually choosing your Disguise to momentarily fool others.

Essentially, you need to lightly modify your playstyle to take advantage of what Your Eternal Reward offers, while avoiding certain pitfalls it entails.

Try pairing YER with the Cloak and Dagger. It allows you to be more patience before striking. Has been called the Slenderman Set. If your aim is up to it, add the Ambassador for distant surprise kills.

That's basically my loadout, The Ambassador, Cloack and Dagger, and Your Eternal Reward.

Aim for enemies in the back of groups, so you're not seen. If you don't like the knife, you can craft it into a spycicle for a different option.

It might be worth trying the Enforcer with YER, since it's damage bonus works nicely with YER's inability to diguise yourself initially.
