Why does earbuds worth so much? It doesn't look that nice, it just have an effect, like Mutton Chop. Vintage Earbuds, how can it be vintage? I though it was released before the Mann. Co Eco. Painted cow mangler, I heard it can be any color, and the laser is also different, how much does it actually cost? Self-Made Key on the community market, I saw a guy name Gold N Platinum posted it for sale, for like $250. I never knew that keys were community made...

Something is worth what the next guy will pay. The fact that those items are rare is what makes them more valuable.

There are team captain unusual hats worth over 100 buds. There are people that are willing to pay thousands of real dollars for those items. Why? Cause they can...

Earbuds are usually just used as currency for traders. They also can't be obtained anymore too.
Vintage Earbuds were obtained if you deleted it and asked Steam Support for it back. They would give it back in vintage quality. That's how other items that can't be vintage were obtained. They won't do it now though.
I think that the cow mangler could had only been painted in team colors. I don't think that the color of the laser is different though. Apperantly they are very rare.
The keys were given out to the contributors for an update. Those who had items released in the special crates recieved self-made quality of the keys their crates were in. When the crate and keys expired, their keys turned into a regular self-made key that could be traded.

the paintable cow was a bug when it came out allowing it to be painted (a bit like puttin underwater kill parts on a flamethower.

vintage earbuds (and vintage bills/max heads ) were made if the perosn deleted the item and sends in a bug report to valve askin for it back (might of been haxed or done it by mastake)

and the self made key is from someone that made a item that came in its own box (like the last helloween items) they get the items and a key

the items cost alot caz theres not alot out there. the earbuds and bills cast alot caz thers not alot out there and there used for priceing ( it goes items, metal, keys, bills, buds)

Bill's hat is worth more because it can't be obtained anymore unless you trade for it. Traders also mainly use it for currency too.

Before, it was to take advantage of them giving items out in vintage quality. If there are people that still do it now, they probably deleted their items on accident.
