Combat Medic's Crusher Cap - Paint?

The Medic Cap (for more information click the wiki-link I placed above) is a pretty good looking hat, except its colour.

When I first got mine from pre-ordering the game Company of Heroes 2 and the first "reward bar" reached 100%, I was looking forward to equip it when I got it. When I looked at it, it didn't look that good. That brown colour didn't match any part of the Medics clothing. As a fan of waterlogged paint I thought to myself: "It would look really nice with some paint and it will match the coat, like an uniform!", but I got disappointed when I couldn't do so.

I know we all have different kinds of taste, but if you like it the way it is there's no need to add paint to yours. Valve have made items paintable before, like the Pickelhaube, so why not this beauty?

Is there anyone that supports this idea?

It needs to be re-rigged to the way a normal person would wear a hat, first.

I don't like the placing either, but I can live with it as long as it's painted.
I also think they want it to be messed up by looking at Heavy's hat..
