Out of the official Valve maps, I would say Doublecross, Turbine or any other map with wide open spaces.

Orange is pretty dang good for training.

Personally, I always train on Doublecross and Badwater. They feel more..."real". Like I'm actually training and not goofing off.

Yeah, orange is more of a "goof around" map, I think for actually becoming a good sniper both DM -wise and gamesense-wise its best to just train on most of the stockmaps.

In terms of official maps? Definately Doublecross. In fact, it's a great map overall for practicing almost every class in the game (though especially snipers).

Practice on the same maps you play, or else it's not really realistic.

Practicing against teams that are 100% sniper because it's a sniping-practice server isn't going to be as helpful for you when there are scouts running around, soldiers flying through the air bombing people, and spies stabbing the inattentive.
