"Kids" in TF2

I've just been thinking about those who complain about all the "noobs", "F2Pers" , and, "Little kids who ruin the game." ; and how annoying they are. I however apply my own personal statement; "As long as they play fair, act maturely, and keep civil; I personaly don't care wether their in their twenties or in elementary school.". As I have a ten year old cousin who I would certenly reccomend the game to baised on his enjoyment of videogames and his level of matureity; while others may scoff even at the idea of recommending the game to a "little kid".

Anyone have their own opinion of "Kids" in TF2? Anyone agree? Anyone disagree?

The other day I played with a mic using kid that made a damn fine Engie. Not a single person complained, not even about him using mic.

i agree. it is not anyone else's business to decide who can play tf2. dont recommend the game to someone who isn't mature, but if someone does play politely then it is fine no matter what. also remember that everyone, even the pros were noobs at some time, and they also at some time used whatever strategy is considered "cheap". also everyone was a kid at one time.

The reason behind all the hatred on "noobs, "F2Pers" and "Little kids who ruin the game." is pretty much just that, they don't act civil, they act as if they're better than everyone else and can just all round be annoying and, let me make this clear, ruin the game. Most "little kids'" ways of getting back at someone killing them is to scream into the mic. Then if someone asks them to stop, even politely, they scream louder because of the attention they're getting. The only F2Pers that end up getting supposedly hated on are the ones who never shut up about it, our main reason to hate on them.
Hell, if these people didn't point out their immaturity, that they're F2Pers and acted like they were better than everybody else and just played the game, we treat them just like we do everyone else. So now everyone can stop these discussions, we've established it.

I agree with this. If they act mature, and dont whine when they get killed, or yell when they get a kill, i can deal with them. Plus i meet some really good kids when I play.

I completley agree with you on this. My friend has a brother that is one of those crazy yelling kids that plays cod, but when my other friends brother plays cod he acts more mature than me!

Kid says hi, then the older guy pops a blood vessle yelling explitives at the poor thing. Heck it may just be someone with a young voice!

Really kinda sucks. Oddly enough I only see it happen on more clique-ish servers with a set community. You'd think it'd happen more on quickplay stuff.

This. I'm fine with kids as long as they understand the difference between a game and real life and doesn't use the mic, unless he has something smart to say. I've seen a kid on a server that was having a pretty smart conversation with some other guy on the microphone.

I have no problem with the age group I play with. Ones that use a mic? Fine by me. The ones who scream everytime they die and just wont shut up? Not really a fan of that group of kids.

I totally agree with this. If they dont whine or anything or be a total jerk then I fine with them playing.

I've met some pretty cool squeakers but a large amount of them are annoying...

If you're a kid playing tf2 and not cod, that's mature enough for me.
