Reasons for these fluctuations can range from dodgy providers to someone else hogging your tinternets.
I.E. Iphones, Ipods, Ipads, other computers..
Also if someone in your family is downloading stuff on a different computer that can help contributing to your ping going up
Also try restarting your router, it might just need a refresh.
If you have cable internet, it could be that there is high traffic volume in your neighborhood for some reason.
If you have DSL, go blame the phone company. :p
i got 30-80 ping and then it goes up to 110+ yesterday on my tf2 servers but my other games has low pings.

Every Server has high ping for me, nobody seems to be downloading or watching some youtube videos. I tried playing other games and my ping was different, but it was 30-50 unlike tf2 smh.
