How to get back the default HUD?
I recently attempted to change my HUD to a custom HUD made by someone else. I replaced the resource and script files with the new HUD ones. TF2 launched fine, I connected to a server, but I couldn't move forward, fire my weapon, chat, I couldn't do anything.
How do I fix this?
And the HUD didn't even change.

Reinstall tf2.

You will lose all skins that you have but it will sort this problem out.

WHENEVER YOU REPLACE FILES, ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP!!!

Just delete all the custom HUD files.

Brooo, the custom HUDs go in the "custom" folder, in "tf" folder. Puting your custom HUDs in the local files of the game is like cutting your arm when you use a shirt
