My friend can't trade for some reason?

Whenever i try and trade him this appears "[MY FRIEND] is not available to trade. More information will be shown to [MY FRIEND] if they invite you to trade." No informations pops up or shows anywhere, hes not banned neither does he have an unusual trade rank or whatever its called. He has no idea why does occurs and neither do i. He cant trade other people either, i can trade other people though. Havent seen anyone with this issue :C

This happened to me. he told me his message said he needed to do the thing where you have to wait 15 days for you to trade. (he is premuim) didnt work but you could try it.

Could it be....
SteamGuard?

This makes sure that the user account on a specific computer is legit. Steam sends a code to the registered email and you have to type it in immediately into steam to validate yourself. No need to remember the code, its a one time thing for each new computer/user combination.

After 15 days of it being enabled Steam will allow you to trade. There are other things to consider but if you just purchased something then you're probably good to go... after 15 days.

Problem is happening to my friend and his account was mad last year and idk why it is not letting him trade with me he invite's me, I invite him and it doesn't get anything

SteamGuard isn't automaticically enabled when you make your account.
To check, go to the top-right corner, where it says Steam. Click it.
Then go down to Settings (second from the bottom)
A menu will appear.
Go to Account (if your not there already)
In Security Status, it should say if you have it or not.
If not, click the button below "Manage Steam Account Security"
Click it, and follow the instructions.
Congrats, you now have SteamGuard!

Thanks for the message and also i traded with my other friend today and we traded which was like 3-4 hours ago so did they Enable the SteamGuard now or just for some people that changed there password e.g

hi can anyone help me? me and my friend traded once when he is premium account and mine is not. now both of our accounts are premium and he is unavailable and we cannot trade. can anybody explain why? by the way, he has steam guard for long time and his privacy are all set to public.
