🌕Halloween Contracts Return on October 11th! 🎃
Halloween Contracts are Back on October 11th! 🎃👻

It’s that time of year again, folks—Team Fortress 2’s Halloween event is right around the corner! Starting October 10th, the spooky season officially kicks off in TF2, and with it comes the return of the highly anticipated Halloween Contracts. If you’re new to these or just need a refresher, we’ve got you covered. This year’s Scream Fortress is set to deliver tons of frights, fun, and of course, plenty of cosmetics.

What are Halloween Contracts?

For the uninitiated, Halloween Contracts are limited-time missions that you can complete to unlock exclusive Halloween-themed rewards. These contracts are tied to special objectives—some simple, some tricky—and the rewards include cosmetics, unusual effects, and sometimes even spooky versions of weapons. Unlike regular contracts, these ones let you dive into the Halloween madness with maps that feature ghouls, cursed pumpkins, and, occasionally, boss fights with monsters.

When and How to Start

The Halloween Contracts will go live on October 10th, and you can access them through your ConTracker just like any other contract. Don’t worry if you’ve been out of the loop—these contracts are easy to start, and the Halloween-themed maps are automatically loaded in the rotation, so you won’t miss a beat. Jump into the game, accept the contract, and get started on racking up kills, completing objectives, and surviving the chaos.

Why You Should Care 🎃

Let’s be real, Halloween is one of the best times to play TF2. Whether you’re a casual player or a seasoned vet, these contracts give you a chance to earn unique cosmetics that you can’t get any other time of the year. You’ll be completing objectives in some of the most creatively designed maps, full of Halloween vibes like exploding pumpkins, spells, and hidden secrets. Plus, there’s something satisfying about decking out your mercenary in full spooky gear.

Halloween Cosmetics and Unusuals

Cosmetics are the main draw of these contracts, and this year will likely be no different. You can earn exclusive Halloween-themed hats, taunts, and skins that are only available during the event. And if you’re lucky, you might even score an Unusual effect with a spooky theme. Whether you’re into rocking a skeleton Sniper or a cursed Pyro, there’s always something fun to add to your loadout during this event.

Halloween Maps

This is also your chance to play on some of the most unique and wild maps TF2 has to offer. Whether it’s a haunted mansion or a spooky forest, the Halloween maps have their own set of rules. Expect to see magic spells, traps, and maybe even a few boss fights with creepy characters like the Horseless Headless Horsemann. Each map is filled with surprises and chaotic fun, which means no two games ever feel the same.

Playing with Friends

TF2 is always better when you’re playing with friends, and that’s even more true during Halloween. Get your squad together and tackle the contracts as a team—there’s nothing like pulling off an epic kill streak while avoiding exploding pumpkins and boss monsters. Plus, working together on contracts can make them a lot easier to complete. Pro tip: stick together when the spells start flying, because it’s gonna get wild.

New Items? Maybe!

While nothing’s been confirmed yet, there’s always a chance we’ll see new items this year. Valve likes to throw in a few surprises during these events, whether that’s a new set of cosmetics or something even more unexpected. Keep an eye out for any patch notes or announcements leading up to the 10th—because you never know what spooky stuff might be added to the game!

Final Thoughts

So there you have it—Halloween Contracts are back, and you’ve got everything you need to get hyped for October 10th. Whether you’re here for the cosmetics, the maps, or just the overall spooky chaos, there’s no better time to jump back into TF2. Make sure your loadouts are ready, stock up on some Mann Co. Supply Crates, and prepare for some tricks, treats, and a lot of fun. See you on the battlefield! 👻

It's not so much the new things that make us impatient but the time we will have to complete the contracts in full. Not everyone has the "Sacton hal" success where you have to obtain all the paper masks to make the Saxton one and the contracts are there to help us (even if I got nothing in 2023), finish all the contracts increases the chance of having everything in addition to trying to have nice cosmetics, Valve is screwing everyone up by making us wait a long time as they have a lot of cards and they are certainly preparing to integrate some others. Very lucky we won't be able to finish all the contracts as there are so many!!! I understand people's annoyance and their impatience.
