#Save TF2 killed TF2
#Save TF2 has killed TF2.

The community just doesn’t get it. Even way back in 2018 I and a few others were telling people that bots and cheaters thrive off attention, and only once that attention dries up will the bot hosters and cheaters get bored and move on.

But the community didn’t listen. They complained and complained every day on the forums, on YouTube, on reddit, on every platform, and the bot hosters got the attention they wanted.

But then came Save TF2 movement and this was the nail in the coffin for TF2. It showed two things; the first was that the community had no solutions and was begging to Valve for help, and the second was that the bot hosters were winning.

It gave the bot hosters the ultimate attention. Thousands of posts and tags and videos in the name of saving TF2 flooded the internet. And ever since then the bots have gotten worse.

And recently we are paying the price for constantly complaining about everything; Valve has turned off the item servers indefinitely, and potentially permanently. Their profit on the game just isn’t what it once was. Sure, there were 200000 players but 190000 of them are bots, and of the 10k actually playing probably like a third of them are cheaters anyway.

The game is on its way out, and Save TF2 is to blame.

Pretty sure SaveTF2 just came and went. Nothing was gained, and nothing was lost.

It would make sense yes.......
.BUT how are the bot hosters getting attention? The existence of bots is what people are talking about not the bot hosters themselfs

Valve killed TF2, not the players that care about the game.

In order for you to be right tf2 would have to be dead, which it clearly isn't
