On Weezy's New Video
Should we boycott TF2? Yes, absolutely. Weezy's been repeating this "b-but t-tf2 don't makey dat much moni, it's o-only t-twelve mirron!" since he started getting pushback for making a do nothing petition. If Weezy isn't busy being a gambling addict with the YouTube incentive making him actively not want to boycott, he's busy fellating Valve telling us to "keep our hands off the multi-million dollar company, bud!" Weezy is the epitome of nu-TF2Tube, grifters with conflicts of interests, and seemingly isn't actually invested in the game and it's well being. He actively tells us not to morally grand stand, when that's exactly what he was doing when e was being criticized for his do nothing petition. You SHOULD make gambling addicts feel bad. YOU SHOULD make the whales of this game feel bad for spending absurd amounts on garbage cosmetics. I'm not saying to harass any of them of course, but you should mock them for supporting the laziness of Valve.

Okay, Valve got rid of the bots. The worst problem is gone for now. There's still issues. Comppleb inspired changes are still infecting this game. MyM and Jungle Inferno, hands down THE worst updates for this game balance change wise. Only two new weapons since then worth using, the rest are quite literally useless. Other than that it's been a drought content wise. Terrible balance changes in the hopes to appeal to comp plebs, making certain weapons unusable. Why would you ever use the base jumper? Why would you ever use the GRU? Why would you ever use the righteous bison? Why would you ever us the sandman? Why would you ever use bonk or crit o cola? All these weapons and more have been destroyed because whiney comp players banned them in their safe spaces, and Valve took that input and ran with it.

One of the best things Valve could do, and I mean this unironically I'm being serious, is revert MyM and Jungle Inferno. I'm not saying to remove the new weapons or maps. I mean the comp pleb matchmaking system, and the balance changes. New weapons are likely never going to come, but the competitive experiment is over and a proven and ABJECT FAILURE. Regardless if we get actual new content, the least Valve can do is leave the game in a better state than it's in. Uncy Dane the SoyTuber main has done enough damage to this game. Let those that actually like the game, not some watered down doo doo version, have their game back.

boycotting tf2 also means not purchasing anything on steam

it would work in theory but not in practice since the community could never all agree to not purchase anything on steam, and that's ignoring trader mains and gambling addicts who won't even boycott the game anyways

so no, it's not really worth it. you can still do it yourself but you doing it on your own wont change anything

I half-agree, to begin with it would be hard to know what would push Valve to care about TF2 since they're known for their radio-silence. I wish more than anyone else for TF2 to get updates but it's a coin flip with Valve. If only they communicated we could know what to do. Or at least what's the reason behind the "we don't care about TF2" behavior.

Valve was better when they were the ones making TF2 and not the community feedback and crap. That's the whole reason a lot of terrible weapons and balance changes have come to life. Just look at 2007 TF2, Quite literally the epitome of TF2 balance (except for Sniper which was already OP). I blame both the community and Valve for what happened to TF2, the community for pushing Valve to do stupid changes, and Valve for listening to them.

GRU is actually a viable weapon, why would i use it? It let me reposition myself easily with Heavy. I hate the fact that Comp players had got to say their words about the game balance, Valve should've focused on the majority of TF2 players, which are Casual players. Uncle Dane played somewhat of a role with his stupid videos (and once again, the community listening to some guy just because he has a lot of subscribers).

I don't think reverting MyM and Jungle Inferno would be the solution, it does need changes. From the point of view of a Casual player i'd say Sniper should be the focus because that's around the most controversial thing in TF2 for now, it's not fun, ruins people fun, and annihilate all chances of having fun for new players dying to something they don't even know how to counter, which is essentially uncounterable. Sniper needs a nerf in my opinion for Casual TF2 gameplay to be the most fun it could be (No bots + No sniper/sniper rework/sniper nerf = Happiness)

Then we would start fixing the rest of the problems.

Forgot to say, sometimes before Comp, Valve actually tried to do something both for Casual players and for Comp players respectively, turns out the changes affected both communities.

"all these weapons destroyed because whiny comp players them in their safe spaces"

you do realize only like 4 of tf2's 150-ish weapons are banned in comp, yeah? and i remember it being universally agreed upon that the old sandman was annoying and stupid and not fun at all to play against, at all skill levels. also the base jumper change was something that literally did not impact the balance of it at all beyond fixing an exploit that was only abused by like the nth percentile of the nth percentile of players. it wasnt banned in comp, and it still isnt. crit o cola is still super strong idfk what you're on about aside from being a emotional and reactionary.

id be really interested in hearing what you think would be "good" balance changes. some more 8 second bleed, perhaps?

Just outright misinformation. You can go on the TF2wiki right now and see the whitelist of all types of comp and why they're banned.

it made the base jumper bad. where as before it was bad too but it was fun.
"super strong" isn't the term i would use for the crit a cola.

this is still not "super strong" it's a weapon that has it's uses. just like most unlocks do.
if you want a long range option i suggest you pick the op class sniper, instead of dealing what 80 damage at medium range you'll be able to deal -150 range with no downsides at all if you miss or whatever, since your range makes it so that anyone can't hurt you.
