TF2 IS GETTING A SECOND LIFE????
there are more players playing tf2 now. before valve made the ban wave, theres only around 8k players. but now, if you check there are 15k players, which is nearly double.
note: player count statics from teamwork.tf

It's safe to say Teamwork.tf hasn't updated the math behind the numbers of players they're showing. There is still a lot of bots but there is also a lot of new players. I would say it's around 20k players maybe more.

after the ban wave the in-game count(valve count) reduced to 75k, befor was 300k

Yeah then it's safe to assume there's more than 20k players. A lot of new players have been coming and a lot of bots have been banned, i don't know if they recreated a lot of bots but Teamwork.tf math is definitely outdated for guessing the number of actual players.

if your talking about the recent one no. The number was 150,000 and dropped to 75,000
Looking at the chart it remains flatlined, meaning its still mostly bots. 20k seems like a logical number.

you guys know that 15k is still plenty of players right? not every game needs to be fortnite or league of losers

Its the fact that its not 100k. People are acting as though tf2 is as big as fortnite but it is not. Even left 4 dead 2 has a bigger player base.

This and the expectation that Valve should keep releasing major updates are unreasonable expectations for a 17 year old game made by 2021-2024 badge-ers that don't understand how old this game is.
I've said this before but Team Fortress Classic would have been that age in 2016--would you or I have expected it to get major game changes around that time?

Edit: I want to clarify how this is an unreasonable expectation for how old TF2 is, not for how much budget or manpower Valve has since they have boatloads of money and could easily work on it themselves or hire others to work on it for them.

Yes, because unlike TFC, TF2 never stopped increasing it's (real) player count, it was never high to begin with, and it never stopped increasing, making it technically the opposite of a dead game, the most alive TF2's ever been.
