The window of opportunity for this was back in the 2000s and Adult Swim didn't take the bait. Likely in part because Venture Brothers fills that 1960s animation vibe that a TF2 show would have, and thus would've made the TF2 show redundant in marketer's eyes.
There was a passionate attempt on Valve's part to make a TF2 show. Then the scripts from that were combined into a movie script to try and at least get a movie made. Neither succeeded.
Unfortunately, given Valve's infamous apathy, we're at the end of the road for any officially-produced Team Fortress media, I believe.
That's not what happened. Valve wasn't meeting the deadline for the episode release and they refused to cut the episode to comply with the duration set by AdultSwim, that's why they dropped it.
Ah, that sounds more like Valve. I believe I got the "it's adult swim's fault" narrative from a McVicker video back in the day and never bothered to fact check.
The larger point still stands: Valve had a window of opportunity where TF2 had some pop culture cache. That window is firmly closed, nailed shut, and painted black by this point.
Just want to point out this relatively new account is going around the discussion board either mouthing off in conversations about queerness/sexuality, or is bringing up queerness/sexuality in conversations that had nothing to do with it.
Big sock account vibes.
Yes, it's an alt. We know Santiago, he's a forum regular.
