Benefits of the stock rocket launcher over the original?
I want to use stock, because Aussie.

But I always play better with the original, and I hate it. Every shot is more accurate.

Seems like it’s harder to track distance with stock, because the rocket comes out at an angle to my understanding. It comes out of the right side, but heads towards the crosshair.

Why do some people use stock instead?

because they are either habitual to it or that launcher is one of the strongest default weapons in the game.

Stock
Quake is a great game but ripping the sound straight from it was a mistake
The original would be 1,000,000x better if it had a unique sound instead of one that conflicts with others so hard

Invert Viewmodels is a setting

That's cool buddy but then the other side will be weaker. In CS:GO you are able to swap the positions mid game. In TF2 you can't.
Not by much. As the guy in comment 2 said,

Where your rockets come out of only slightly affects gameplay. Your rockets firing slightly to the left or slightly to the right doesn't make your other side "weaker," it's almost completely the same outside of corner peeking.

I think corner peeking is what they’re referring too when they say weaker.

You’re practically completely out of cover when using stock firing from the left side of cover, where as the original you can be partially covered and retreat much quicker.

That's why you learn the map and switch when necessary. Map knowledge is important. Knowing the map and where you are going and from which direction is very important in general, and is especially useful when you want to corner peek.

Slightly off topic but I don't think the original should have a centered viewmodel. Instead it should be an option for everyone to use on every weapon where applicable

No benefits, its the base rocket launcher and its ♥♥♥♥ the liberty launcher is way better due to its extra ammo in your clip which means if your ♥♥♥♥ (you are if you use stock or orginal) and yes it does have less damage than stock but this can also be considered an upside since if you pair it with gunboats it'll only take 15 hp off for every rocket jump meaning you can be more aggresive and the faster projectile speed makes it slightly harder to dodge and reflect.

The only time the liberty launcher is a better launcher than the rocket jumper is in ctf because you can actually grab the intelligence with the launcher. Other than that you get literally free jumps and an open secondary. Hell if you can hit market gardens you could probably use a banner well.

This is just bs since most of the actual maps in 6s for example are symmetrical. No one changes their viewmodels between games since it will ♥♥♥♥ your jumps completely. Seems like you haven't really played the game lol
If you had actually played the game yourself you would know that the difference between a left and a right viewmodel is not very major at all.
I don't like original.
Stock is better imo :aushrug:

you yourself stated that one should be able to change the viewmodels depending what map they play. I can tell that you have never played comp or soldier in general. Don't spread your bs here no one cares about it
If you can't change viewmodels that's your problem. It's a box in the options menu. Not that hard. And besides, the benefits of viewmodel swapping carry over to more weapons than just stock and more classes than just soldier, for what that second one is worth anyways. Also ad hominims, don't do those.
