Aim and positioning, also don't be afraid to body shot people. Sniper is simple on paper, but much tougher in practice. TF2 players don't know that though because they don't play Sniper.

Support your team. Aim for targets that will be a problem for them. Most snipers will just camp a wall someone is going to go around, but when a medic gets splashed with a rocket, turns around and the soldier dies to sniper headshot, the medic remembers it. They won't remember who the sniper is though.

Don't turn off your crosshair while scoped in

Try some aim trainers

Don't scope in for too long cuz then your an easy spy target

you should prob lower your sensitivity while in scope

Sit by a spawn/hp pack and wait for somebody to walk into crosshair. If you can click desktop icons you can be a sniper pro within a few hours.

Go to the multiplayer settings and choose the circle crosshair, set the size of it to the smallest you can. It's better.
