How to record TF2 gameplay?

Whenever I press f12 key it only takes a screenshot, I want to record my tf2 gameplay to upload to my channel but I can't find out how to record my gameplay videos?

OBS is not malicious software and it's easy to use. If you've ever watched someone stream a video game or record gameplay chances are they used OBS.
