What is the general age rating of TF2?

DISCLAIMER: this is the personalities of the categories listed below, i cant say everyone is categorised like this. some people in these categories are awesome people. i hope i dont horribly offend anyone, :D

i've noticed 3 kinds of people in the TF2niverse.
starting from age:

the -annoying- 12 year olds.
squeaky voices, they're usually on Crit servers complaining about hackers. they send ''XD'' when ever they get a kill because they think of themselves as the dominant species. they're after an argument, so dont give them one.

the averages
they're in college. its their spare time. they play the game, they like to laugh about the glitches and strange server addons.

the man-children
usually found in Mann Vs Machine, they think of themselves as leaders, they're about 30 years old and living with their parents. they play with the first category and think themselves normal.

What category are you?
i will judge each and every one of you if it makes you feel any better.

But, there's a guy on a server I frequent who's like 65 or around there. What category does he fall into?

I've been playing since beta and there was a huge shift in demographics once the game went F2P. A lot of younger (WAY younger) kids started entering into the foray and the reason as to why is simple: Little kids do not have a source of income besides the occasional Christmas/B-day present, so they can't really afford full-price games like the Orange Box when it came out. I honestly can't remember one instance of a squeaker pre-F2P but that's probably a combo of playing on good servers and having a bad memory, ha.

Also, the average age of TF2 players is probably late teens/early 20's from my experience. I'm 27 if anyone cares.

before this the TF2 community was nicer, but remember that alot of us wouldnt be here without the f2p access. i used to be F2P but i bought a sandman :P

No no trust me, I'm not prejudiced against F2P's, I've met a lot of cool people who came during that period, it's just......a lot of little kids came in as well.
