Real though, getting one soon and I want to know how the worst game ever plays on it
The one person i've known who played TF2 on a steam deck seems to enjoy it and it seems to work fine.

It runs good. I had to tinker with the settings for a while to get a smooth framerate, but afterwards I get a solid 60 fps. Playing without a keyboard & mouse isn't ideal, but it's doable.

When I got my Deck, TF2 was one of the first games I tried. It was crazy being able to play it in bed or on the toilet.

Thinking of grabbing one for when work slows down, what version did you get?

I haven't had issues with performance, but playing TF2 with a controller is torture.

Are the pads worth getting used to? Or even gyro controls?

I'm not sure, I don't really play TF2 on deck.

It took a lot of getting used to, I tried using the joystick at first, while doable I was at huge disadvantage. I finally after 4 months of owning the steam deck, decided to give the touchpad an HONEST try, before I just used it for 5 seconds and said ♥♥♥♥ it. It took several bad games, and tinkering with the sensitivity. I actually play decently with the touch pad now and I’m loving it, probably still not as accurate as mouse but pretty damn close.

TF2 with a controller
I mean, it's the OG way of playing TF2 so...

Did u use gyro with the joystick? Makes aiming a lot easier. I enabled the setting the only activates gyro when my thumb is on the stick. The ideal way to play IMO.
