TF2: Paints & Hats

For example, I want to paint "The Black Watch" Black and I want to know how much it will be worth with the black paint before I paint it. Is there a certain TF2 calculator for this? Do any of you guys know? If you know please tell me it will make my life ALOT easier. Thanks in advance TF2 community

here's the thing........ Black,White, Lime,Pink and some of the team paints are a key +

Why would you want to paint the Black Watch in the first place? The Paint is EXTREMELY Subtle and hardly noticeable.

But I'd say around 2 keys for the price if you paint it. Keep in mind that not many people would want to purchase is in the first place.

Last I checked, paint worth is halved on an item. You can do the math from there.

Many people go with half the price of the paint but often it is dependant on the buying or selling player. If the buyer likes the paint they are more likely to pay close to full price. If the buyer is buying to to profit or obtaining it as a trading no personal item they wont pay much extra for it.

Rule of thumb if you don't know go with half the price of paint.

Backpack tf paint estimator prices are extremely far from what people are actually willing to pay for the item.
Generally paint adds about 1/3-1/2 it's worth to a hat, so it's nearly always cheaper to buy it painted then it would be to paint and resell.

The black watch hat is valued at 2.33 refined. And as for the paint, it depends on which black you paint it with. After eight black costs about a 5 key, and A dististinctive lack of hue costs 1.6-2 keys.

Painting your black Watch hat the expensive Distinctive lack of hue would likely add around 4 ref - a key's worth of value to your hat. Depending on how patient you are to find a buyer.
