Team Fortress 2
The Loch n Load nerf.
Once upon the time, the loch n load was the feared weapon of the demoman, requiring skill to hit enemies and not the regular M1,M2 stickybomb launcher demoman who is lazy beyond all reason. Then Valve nerfed it to only deal 124 max damage and for just a few minutes of playing, I havn't gotten out a lot of situations that I would have gotten out of if the Loch n Load dealt at least 125 damage.

Who agrees that Valve should buff it back up again?
Who disagrees?

It's your call...

In what universe does decreased damagespread and deceased self-damage in conjunction with a 50% bigger clip qualify as a nerf?

Are you honestly b¡tching about the fact that you no longer get a random damage number between 103 and 147? There weren't any guaranteed 125-pipes to begin with, it was all a matter of luck - and can you explain to me how crossing your fingers and hoping you'll roll high enough to onehit your target qualifies as better skill-indexed, on your cap?

Valve did way more than I would have to cover the "loss" of those relying on damagespread being in their favor when they added that imaginary extra barrel and cut self-damage; I would've just left everything but the random base-damage as it was.

10/10
Before it only had a CHANGE to kill a Scout.
It was a luck-based crutch.
If anything it was buffed. That 3rd shot is extremely good to have.

It was nerfed to not oneshot Demo's only real hard counter (scout, since most spies and snipers these days can't be depended upon), but made a little more forgiving at the same time for dealing with everything else. One extra shot and no self-damage penalty anymore make it perfect for dealing with single targets (especially meaty ones like solly or heavy) and rewards the ability to land successive hits.
This. Now it's more balanced and not inferior to stock.

I main Demoknight and use Loch N' Load only as covering fire to get away from a bad situation or to get some sniper or sentry out of range. This nerf doesn't really seem as bad as people make it up to be.
If you want covering fire, try the new iron bomber out. It's like the Loch's cousin

I still don't get why people compare the Iron Bomber with the Loch.
Iron Bomber is all about NOT shooting people directly while the Loch is all about dem directs.

-10% damage if it explodes on timer
it is about landing your shots

Why the hell would you not use stock then?
I mean, stock also rewards you with the same damage if you make a hit, and doesn't have a damage reduction on rollers. It can also spam chokes better, and roll grenades further.

How about you shut up scrubbag.

Think about this from other player's perspective. It will piss off any 125 hp class to die in one shot.

Question, since the loch no longer deals buffed damage, why wouldn't I just use a default, have 4 grenades, bouncing (which means it has a chance to still hit), the chance for crits, AND the the added bonus of knowing it will likely never be nerfed?

Before, the reason used to be that the loch had increased damage but demanded spot on accuracy to compensate. A tradeoff I was willing to go with, now my hale's own loch and load that I've had for years is now useless thanks to this simple question.

Ok, let's evaluate the current Loch 'n Load.

+25% projectile speed:
-Extends Demo's primary weapon's effective range --> broken
-Makes connecting pills easier for full 100 damage --> somewhat broken

+20% damage against buildings:
-Can 2-shot a lvl 3 sentry --> broken because it's a weapon that counters Engineer more on a class that already counters Engineer by default.
-Combined with extended range, more reliable to destroy lvl 3 sentry --> broken
-Takes care of a lvl 3 faster than the SL --> broken

-No rollers:
-Demoman should go for direct hits anyway and rollers are just there for utility

-25% clip size:
-Same amount of pills needed to kill --> insignificant downside in most situations

-25% blast radius:
-Lessens the crowd control ability by a bit, but still has SL for that --> insignificant downside
-Less likely to get hit by your own explosion in close combat --> broken

If it were up to me, I'll nerf it again.

Loch N' Load is the Engie Destroyer 9000.
