Can't flip view models

When I'm trying to play as Sniper, I notice he pulls the string with his right hand. I'm the opposite and in real life I pull it with my left hand. A friend told me I could flip the view models. When I checked that and hit OK nothing happened. When I go back into the settings, it's unchecked. I try again with no luck. It just won't save, anyone know why?

It won't save if you're in a game. Just quit whatever map you're on, then change it in the main menu again. It'll work then and only then.
By the way, it's called a bolt, not a string.

Thanks for the info. Methinks he was referring to the Huntsman, though?

It's just something nice to have for us lefties, and while it wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't there, it is there so it's a bit frustrating.

Wow, I forgot this thread existed. I actually fixed the issue, and I was referring to the Huntsman.

Im left handed and i prefer the right-handed holding. its more comfortable. Which means im ambidexterous.

I'm ambidexterous and I like using the left handed because I'm LEFT EYE dominant. It doesn't really have anything to do with your hand.

It actually has an impact in-game. If you play as left-handed, your projectiles come from the left, meaning you have to peek out less on the left as the right. This is why you can't switch whie in-game. It's a weird bit of realism, especially for TF2.
