Team Fortress 2
Why haven´t TF2 recived any DDOS attack yet?
there are so many people wanting to ruin this game (bot hosters, cheatears etc...) so it kinda surprises me that this game isn´t having any DDOS attack yet

I believe the bots are enough to grief and continue it seems.

It already had two attacks of server crashing bots 3 years ago

I imagine that Valve actually gives a ♥♥♥♥ about those since it affects their servers which cost money

because the bot hosters want to annoy people, ruining the servers would result in them not being able to annoy people with bots

Ask the majority of bot thread posters and they'll actually believe that they are doing this.

Left 4 Dead 2 servers are getting attacked. It has less even interest from Valve than Team Fortress 2 since it has no paid cosmetics or weapons. Team Fortress 2 still has enough interest and money that Valve can't let it die entirely.

DDosing is illegal and valve has their IP address. you really think that'd be a good idea? i sure don't.

i hope they do, valve needs a legality crusade.
Whenever server crash exploits are found, some cheaters don't hesitate to abuse them, but they are patched quickly for Valve's standards.

I just wish that those specifically involved in crashing servers would get legal consequences, but it's a waste of money with no payoff, so you only make an example of people, and pursuing some idiots legally is difficult if they live outside the US. This could be considered DDoSing, and should be treated as that.

Also, I assume that security and stability is one of the things they care about the most.

VPNs are a thing, and i dont think valve could do much if the attack came from somewhere like china, russia or brazil

Most VPNs log your data and will snitch you out to the government in a heartbeat, infact most are owned by the same parent company.
