are autoexec not working anymore?

It might seem common but i used everything i saw in other forums
Deleting the custom.cfg in cfg file, and named my autoexec file correctly but i does not work. Here are the commands if needed


cl_detailfade 0

cl_detaildist 0

r_drawdetailprops 0

r_shadows 0

mat_hdr_level 0

mat_vsync 0

cl_phys_props_enable 0

cl_phys_props_max 0

props_break_max_pieces 0

fps_max 244

my autoexec wont run and even i put the command to make it run in the console.
Could anybody help me out?

For me autoexec works

Do you have MASTERCOMFIG installed? I had it installed and it prevented anything from my config and autoexec from loading. The solution was to uninstall MC

Make sure you're using the autoexec in tf/cfg.
The one in custom is useless.

Also check if any of the folders in custom contain a cfg folder with a autoexec.cfg inside it, as those will override yours.

That's because mastercomfig has an autoexec of its own.
If you're using mastercomfig, your personal autoexec needs to go here:
tf/cfg/overrides/autoexec.cfg

no, it goes in /cfg/app overrides is where modules.cfg goes and preconfig goes.

You need to put the autoexec file in overrides folder. (I'm assuming it's cfg folder).

The one in app is used/modified by the app (website). You don't touch that one.
If you add your personal stuff to that one and then update your mastercomfig, it'll get overwritten and your stuff will be lost.
