tf2 newbie, need a few tips

Hiya, does anyone have any tips for a new TF2 player? Just completed the 4 trainings and a few bot games, and my first real game i kept getting hit by a flock of snipers. Any tips for a possible Pyro main you know about? All help appreciated!

p.s. how do you use the text chat function?

Flock of snipers = bots that have been flooding the game for a while. Requeue-ing or playing community servers are really the only thing you can do

For text/chat, you need to add a minimum of 5 bucks to your steam wallet and then purchase something from the in-game store (not the Steam Community Market). If you're not too picky on what you get, I would suggest a Mann Co Crate Key. You can re-sell it on the community market for most of its value.

Stick to community servers. I recommend Skial for the easiest.

In-game chat? It's either T, Y, or Enter. I rebound mine I think.

I know Pyros use combo weapons, such as switching from Degreaser to Flare or Stock to specific shotguns.

Use shotgun if there are a lot of pyros on enemy team,train airblast on community servers like rocket tennis and don't use the stock axe oh and try some detonator jump maps too ^_^

As someone who have 1k hours, I agree.

Pyro is a class for short-mid range combat. You learn while playing, other weapons will unlock.

T for server, Y/U for team chat afaik. You need preminum TF2 for chatting in Casual.

But this game isn't on that good state anymore. Cheaters floods Valve servers. Play on community servers.
