C'mon you went up into False hype and this is what you got.
Blame Community, not Valve for making a promise on one Flim and the community making Theories on guns or something like that.
If you're fine with the new stuff then that is entirely up to you. But I was like many others disappointed by the lack of effort put in by valve.
If you would spend a little time researching into this, then there was an interview with McV were he said valve had allowed him to create new weapons for the update, and we even got concept art for a mini gun and a flamethrower.
Also, when a fan project gets backed by the company the fan project stems from then I'm fairly certain we are allowed to be excited.
Think of it as Valve temporarily giving the reins to the player base. This was probably just a trial run of bigger and greater community-driven updates to come. And while it may not be completely satisfactory, we can at least agree that EOTL was a good show of trust between Valve and the community. :)
it isn't McVee's fault, Valve is. that duck jokes needs to stop, a one time joke is always funny overusing it isn't funny, it's childish and annoying.
but hey, from the SFM it shows a lot of kittens so....kitten hype guys?
End of the Line was overhyped, and everybody bought into it. You just can't afford to hold your breath for things like this today. I hope somehow there will be something that can redeem all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ducks.
This update has left me with nothing but a hatred of ducks.
it was just an sfm trailer
maybe the guy that made it tried to make it an official some what moderate update but valve pulled the plug last min
they thought that the weapons were too op'd/broken and lets face it, considering how the love and war update weapons turned out
as for the map being pulled it's just a map i honestly do not have an opinion on how that would turn out but it was really a low ball move for valve to pull it out
still seeing as how it was a new game mode/map im guessing there would be ALOTTT of glitches and exploits just look at the last new doomsday halloween map we had
I don't see why Valve, who clearly no longer care as much about TF2 as they used to would pull the rug out from under someone who DID care enough to prep a whole update for them.
And to do this at the last minute after teasing the update since January (yeah, all the 'great new things' you had lined up for 2014, guys) just to offload some more community tat and a pointless duck counter is sticking two fingers up to both McV and the paying punters.
