High Pitched screech at random intervals
During gameplay, usually in areas with a lot of fighting and sounds, I always hear this really high pitched screech that varies in volume and length. I've tried unistalling my sound mods, hoping it was the problem but no luck. I deleted game_sounds_weapons.txt but it didn't work, and it for sure is not my headphones, it is coming from the game. I can't seem to find a pattern so I have no idea where it's coming from or how to stop it. Anyone else have this problem or know a fix?

Another thing, it appears to only happen just with TF2, not any other game

Nope, it's an electronic screech that seems to happen every time a lot of noise happens (explosions, screams) and even sometimes at random intervals of quiet, as I said, no distinguishable pattern.
pls stop

I'll sometimes do a REALLY high pitched hum to distract my teammates when there's a huge fight going down around the cap point :D

Or sometimes I'll just do it to interrupt whoever's using the mic at the time :)

The best way to troubleshoot any problem with TF2 is to just delete the entire tf folder and verify game cache. If that doesn't help, it could be a hardware problem...

Did you install any sound mods? If you did, that might be the one causing the screeches. I installed a Conga sound mod and whenever I am on a sv_pure 1 server, the screeches play out.
I'm half tempted to say that the OP is trying to start a ♥♥♥♥♥♥-pasta

Sounds more like it could be a connection issue with your speakers/headset. It might even be an issue with the sound drivers/sound card.

It happens on non sv_pure 1 servers
