Does using SAM in TF2 actually get you VAC banned?

In this day alone i have seen about 10 SAM users, none of them banned.
Alot of people are throwing insults left and right
"why is it bad, how does it affect you"
"SAM user, enjoy your ban"
these are just some typical remarks made by people

Now i myself have never used it nor plan to use it. I have seen SOME but not all people who use it get a VAC ban. but the topic still remains?

so lets settle this once and for all

Not if you're not playing TF2. Yes, if you're silly enough to use it while you're connected to a VAC enabled server.

If you're dumb enough to use it on a VAC server I think it does.

and people who expect tf2 to be like cod and they can buy with in game money/unlock all weapons by playing the game or enough kills

Using SAM will not get you banned unless you use it while on a VAC Secured Server, that is a fact. To be safe do not turn on any game while using SAM.

I wanted to test if SAM banned you while you are connected to a VAC Server and not connected. The one not connected was okay, but the other account was banned.

People look down on you if you have used SAM in an obvious way and if you plan to use it, do not unlock all achivements at once.

The other people who say that you will be banned are trolls, ignorant people, or both.

But that is besides the fact, you have 999 Hours on TF2, you're almost 4 Digits :D
