WHY DOES RED AND BLU HAVE BUILDINGS TOGETHER?
seriously, they are enemies and they try to destroy each other, and they put their buildings one stick to the other???

The short and real answer? It's a game.

The creative answer? They are at constant war with eachother so they create bases in the enemy's face in order to rush them.

Because the land was split between Blutarch and Redmond Mann so after they realised they wouldn't outlive eachother they hired a team of mercanires to win the land. http://www.teamfortress.com/loosecanon/

but they wouldent put all their opperation centers and headquarters next to the enemy, they will send troops

Because the 2 men leading the respective teams are idiots. I mean, they've been at war for a few decades and didn't bother to, well I dunno, hire more mercenaries instead of sticking with 9 per team?
