Engineers are overpowered tryhards
Yes, I mean it. Other than offensive Engineers and mini sentry Engineers they are tryhards. Here's why:
1. Playing Engineer is like healing an AIMBOTTING soldier with a minigun that is immune to crits.
2. Too many OP unlocks such as the Wrangler, Short Circuit, and Rescue Ranger.
3. Every tactic against a sentry is denied with a decent pyro.
4. Without his buildings an Engineer has almost the exact same weapons as a scout, even though his shotgun is weaker than the scattergun his wrench generally crits more.
5. In addition to the sentry-he can teleport people and heal an unlimited amount of thm at once.
Match ups:
1. Scout-Even though it is possible to wreck sentry nests as scout, scouts realistically have no chance against sentries.
2. Soldier-Him and Demoman are the best options. He can shoot rockets at it, at least untill the Engineer takes out his Wrangler/SC/Rescue Ranger.
3. Pyro-If you can get close to the sentry then circle around it. But most Engineers are smart enough to put their buildings away from corners.
4. Demoman-See Soldier.
5. Heavy-Yes, he can get close to it and shoot it down but like I said, Engineers should not put their sentries around corners.
6. Engineer-You could wrangle your own sentry and try but in that case it is usually better to go sniper.
7. Medic-Ubercharges are gr8 but the Engineer can escape and rebuild farther away or use the Pomson. Also, if it takes more than 2 coordinated classes to get 1, that means Engineers are 50% overpowered!
8. Sniper-If you can shoot through walls, then you can do it.
9. Spy-Spy is not an Engineer counter! This is why Engineer vs. Spy is total BS. The only reason they have sappers is so that the have some way to deal with them. Otherwise the Engineer can just spycheck.

The Engineer class was made exactly for this. If Engineer was removed, the Heavy would be handicapped since he pretty much relies on teleporters. The Sentry Gun was designed to be an area-denial weapon of sorts, but is weakened by its huge hitbox and sappers. Dispensers are great for Health and Ammo regen if there is no Medic around.
So, Engineer is not OP, you need to get better at the game. I have destroyed countless sentry nests with my team's help, all you need to destroy a sentry nest is timing and accuracy. Or stickspam.

also, a stock medic and heavy/soldier/demo/pyro can take out a sentry in seconds, dr spies can wreck a sentry nest and buildings out in the open are sniper fodder.

Heavy is always the better option. He has the GRU for that and he heals with sandviches

Just avoid the sentry or stop playing 2fort and Hightower. There's only so far an engie can move and do.

When was the last time your team actually had that and what use is it against the short circuit and wrangler

Wait, you complain about regular sentries being set up within "five seconds flat" yet you find minisentries fine? Excuse me?

One, it takes a bit longer than five seconds for a regular sentry to be set up. Two, a level 1 sentry is not that powerful and even more costly for an engi to spam than a mini.

If the engi picks up his sentry to move it, he puts himself at risk of being attacked and killed before he can fully deploy it again, need I remind you that mini crits are enabled on you when you pick up a building?

Not counting the fact the sentry takes time to build back up if moved.

The unlocks for the engineer, like the wrangler for instance, is one of the worst unlocks. A spy can easily sap and stab an engi using this weapon. As for the short circuit, use bullets. Ever heard of an ubered heavy?

In conclusion, the engi is not overpowered. His nest may be tough, but it ain't invincible.
