Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol Buff?
Now before you scream down my throat calling me everything under the sun, this isn't a rage thread, nor am I complaining, (kind of) but I just want to throw this out here and see what people have to say.

I don't mean a damage buff, I'm talking accuracy, for me I can't seem to hit the broad side of a barn unless I'm damn near point blank, "picking off" enemies from afar is literally impossible, I can't seem to hit anything unless I get lucky, Now I'm not sure how you use this weapon, but I use it when I'm retreating to a safe distance, or when the enemy is retreating, yet I can hit everything around them, just not them, it can become very frustrating to knock an enemy down to low health only for the lack of accuracy on the pistol to hit them twice out of the entire clip and deny me the kill or end up getting me an assist.

Would you agree that a slight accuracy increase would benefit the weapon?

What would be the pro's and cons of this gun be if it had that little extra accuracy.

What the shit
Stop using the Crutchy Boy's Pocket Piece-a-shit and complaining that it's UP, it's OP if anything.
Pistol isn't a distance tool, it's a close-mid range finisher tool.
Pistol buff would make Scout OP as a class (rather than based on his unlocks, a lot of his unlocks deserve to be nerfed into the ground tbh, and this is coming from a Scout main) since that would remove his primary weakness of being unable to deal good damage at far range.
Random pistol spread is annoying but at close range, it's negligible. Use that fact.

I like that fact it stops fall damage, that's why I use it...

Thanks for the input.

I'd love to hear your opinion on the BFB.

I like the pretty boy pocket pistol, it gives you more health and no fall damage, it mixes with sandman. It doesnt need any other buff, it has good buffs
Goosegle Jan 16, 2015 @ 7:00am
No it doesn't need any buff. More health and no fall damage is already amazing.
And the point of Scout is, all his weapons only good for close range fight. If you want to shoot them to death and you keep missing, get closer. Done.

Stop using it as a Primary use it as a health boost and jump from fall heights as you feel its a gun to finish off people most pistols are not a CoD headshot gun across da map

2mad4me

Anyways: You shouldn't be using a pistol at any real long range anyways.

I honestly don't understand the problem with that loadout, superfast, no fall damage, stun from a distance, pretty good.

That loadout is the literal truth behind the joke that TF2's shit dev team never plays their game
Those weapons are fun to play with, but it's an absolute bitch to play against.
That's terrible game design.

It's the scout's vaccinator, Perfectly viable concept- except in any actual combat situation it won't work as you'd hope. I'd love to see the stats redone completely, the extra health is hardly useful and 50% extra damage is rediculous.
Vaccinator is the best medigun in uncoordinated fights.
Pyro should have 50% extra damage by default.
Extra health translates to 22 more hp with overheal, which makes or breaks a 1v1. It also lets you take an extra splash from a Soldier.
Honestly, the PBPP can be a passive secondary like the Gunboats, and it'd still be perfectly balanced. It doen't need to shoot. Turn it into a potato or something.

Quite honestly I do agree- I mean look at it logically, the chances of taking large amounts of fall damage on any map other than, like, cp_orange are absolutely much minimal as scout

It's not just flamer damage- you get raped by flares as well. And stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about pyro buffs, seriously. All these people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about low dps, besides doing 181 dps , which is perfectly resonable- you have the ability to completely molest the movement of any class other than the heavy, not to mention that you're technically invulnerable to projectiles, no wait, you even counterattack with them.

And don't go on about overheal. The game is balanced around public gameplay, you know that.
For all his movement molesting I still twoshot Pyros before they can hit me with a flare.
Pyros are literally just ammo refill for me now, they don't pose a threat unless they're overhealed.
Afterburn does needs a buff. It was good in vanilla TF2, but there's just too many counter to it now. Make it 4 damage per tick like bleed, for starters.
Also, that 181 DPS is considering that you're close enough to your enemy to literally spawn the flame particles inside the enemy hitbox, and that you somehow hit every single of of the non-lag compensated flame particles. If only the "projectiles are not lag compensated" thing was fixed, Pyros and the syringe gun would be a lot more useful.
Pyros can deny midrange spam to some degree, and that's like the one saving grace of Pyros.
The game currently caters to the pubbers, but really, it shouldn't. Dota 2 devs always consult the competitive players before pushing an update, why should TF2 work any differently just because some people want to classify TF2 as a casual game? "but we need to consider the baddies" is not a good excuse for taking a giant shit on the balance of an otherwise well crafted game. Since the devs don't play TF2, the least they could do is take input from people who play TF2 seriously and will stick with the game, not people who will probably drop it and will never pick it back up in 200 hours.
