Yes, if Wolfy can get a whole load of people (>50% of the key trading community) to sell their keys for about half of what they bought them for, the market will change. You will have what you want, keys at 6-7 ref. Until that happens, keys are going to fluctuate.

Wolfy feel free to add me and I can share some trading tips to help you get along without having to deal with key price fluctuations.

If you look at my backpack I am one of those rich people you complain about but i can tell you now I did not get there by converting refined into keys. Only dumbaasses do that.

Not exactly, most tf2 pricechecking sites actually use bp.tf's prices. But you may be right. I honestly feel a new website should be made with reasonable prices that stay nearly steady as stone. All in all that would be a great idea if someone has the guts to go agaisnt the BigDogs.tf

I'll admit that I stopped reading the thread when I saw this. Prices aren't supposed to be set in stone.

It's because he doesn't know how to actually argue a point and could get disproved by anyone that is at least 5 years old

I've actually been trying to inform Wolfy of how these things work so that he can make educated claims in the future, rather than him saying that a website is bad because it goes against his opinions of pricing.

I've been part of the trading community on a quest to go P2P. I did it, and it has shown me that trading is taken really seriously, and the economy is close to real. The price increase because key buyers don't mind paying more metal for keys, and they're always sold for a little more than the market price. This combined with the increasing amount of metal in the market creates a perfect situation for key prices to rise.

My 2 cents without reading any of the thread after my last post.

-Metal is given out for free in the form of weapons.
-Keys can only enter the game if people spend money on them.

Trading free items for purchased items is a excitable prospect for everyone; it's natural that Key prices in metal would rise.

Perhaps bp.tf did speed things up due to its notability, but it has the trades to back it up.

If you try to lower the price without showing that people are actually selling at 6.55-8 Ref, like you did:

Then your suggested price will get shot down because it isn't the true price. I consider it a bit hypocritical that you want Key prices to be lower than 8 Ref, but aren't selling Keys for that amount.

The solution to the refined to key pricing is easy. Dont trade your refined into keys.

When people stop these trades sellers will get desperate and will drop their prices.

Sadly though there is nothing common about common sense.
