Team Fortress 2
Can't stop firing?
In the past few days, I've had moments where I'm playing normally, and then all of a sudden, the game acts as if my M1 is being held down constantly. I don't automatically click menu items, so it only applies in-game, but even leaving the server doesn't fix it. Then, the next time I boot up the game, everything is working fine, like nothing happened, until it happens again at another seemingly random moment.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

I had this problem due to early Mannpower glitches, I noticed what was happening was similar to when +attack is typed into the console so i typed in -attack and VOILA!

Btw uuh I did -attack aswell but after a long fire like the minigun it happened again. BUT however I have a solution witch is go to console type “unbind mouse1” and then type “bind mouse1 +attack” and if it happens again (the constant fire) press mouse1 again. Boom solved

the +attack command does the same as if you were holding down fire. typing -attack stops it. i don't know how to make it only fire once though

edit: the tf2 wiki "List of useful console commands" page says:
"+attack - Forces the player to constantly use their primary fire. (Same as M1) (-attack will disable)
+attack2 - Forces the player to constantly use their secondary fire. (Same as M2) (-attack2 will disable)
+attack3 - Forces the player to constantly use their tertiary fire. (Same as middle-click or M3) (-attack3 will disable)"

I have the same issue. When I rocket jump I keep firing in the air until I touch the ground and its so annoying for normal gameplay or just market gardening. Nothing suggested has worked and now Im just kinda stuck. (it happens with sticky jumping too)
I had this problem too, the solution is going to computer settings, bluetooth and devices, mouse, additional mouse settings, buttons, DISABLE CLICKLOCK.
