You can only get it by completing tours on MvM. Mind you the australium drops are rare. Some may get one in only a few tours.
And there is only one type, Specialist Professional Killstreak Golden Pan

Normal Frying Pan - Own Left 4 Dead 2 (Promotional Item along with the Ellis Cap) or Trade/ Buy one.

Normal frying pans can't be crafted, they are promo items only. Meaning the only way to get them in the game is via buying L4D2.
