Team Fortress 2

Really? This Is How People Treat Others In TF2? Really?
Before I go off on my rant, I'd like to make one thing clear.

Team Fortress 2 is amazing, I enjoy the hell out of it. Specially the Medic class that am starting to get good at after gathering/finding items to build my first Quick-Fix.

Also, am F2P, but am not just standing around like a mindless Scout wearing a Gibas(or was it Gibus?) hat doing nothing. I try to be active during a match and do my part so that the team I am on wins/survives. I try to be mostly Medic because you don't get to shoot people IN THE FACE with freaking medical needles every day.

Now my rant.

Just today, aftering wining a match, I was thrown into a different server with some other dude. Went Sniper because I thought the server had more people and didn't really check to see how many I was up against. Next thing I know I was getting dominated by someone who was way more skilled than I. Each time this player killed me, he say something that I couldn't understand, but it annoyed me.

However, instead of leaving, I grown stubborn because I wanted to kill this player. Soon my annoyance turned into rage. Said somethings I wish I never said and left the server.

Calmed myself down after a minute and went onto another server and told myself that if I ever got into something like that again, Leave The Server, It Does You No Good.

Anyway, after getting on I went Scout because no one was playing one. So here I am, actively trying to do something that helped the team I was on. When all of a sudden am accused of being Idle by the same guy who dominated me on the last server and tried to have me kicked from the server. Trice. As the other two failed.

I cant type/fight at the same time, it has to be one or the other and I couldn't use voice chat to defend myself. Mic is messed up after sleeping on it by mistake. Not only that, he said things like I was "toxic" and "low scored" as well as accusing me of being Idle to get me kicked off from the server. He did it three times and the third vote to kick me off worked. These are Valve's offical TF2 servers.

Am I the only one who deals with this? Or are there others with a similar experience? Because this is the impression I am now getting from this game's community.

I swear, I regret everything, I regret everything I ever done. I don't care who or what responses to this. This is just a bad experience that deeply affected me in this game...

the TF2 community is toxic and one of the reasons I don't play it anymore.

This only happens on either Valve servers or community servers with a really bad community. Just don't play on those. Find a friendly community, and join the servers of those communities(if they have one)

Find a community server you like, and stick on it. You'll get recognized as a regular, and once you're a regular, you'll find friends by your side when scrubs try to get you down.

I had a similar experience, except it was different in the outcome.
The other guy WAS better than me, but I kept focusing on him, had a few revenges but he was still good - better then me.
But in the end, he added me and said "damn, you ain't bad" and everything was fine :V.

So yeah, find a community server (which I was on back then).

Can't say that it is toxic.
I have experienced before a much more rude community.

Welcome to Team Fortress 2. After 9 years in development, hopefuly, it had been worth the weight.

Certain servers are just plain poisonous. Some are full of regulars who don't mind helping new players at all. It's just that out of 10 servers, half of them are probably toxic, the other half either lets you do your own thing or tries to help newer players. Of course, douchebags always join good servers from time to time, it's unavoidable.

I Have been on servers with bad and good people,it happens all the time not all of the tf2 community are bad, most of us a friendly.

Most are friendly, some ignore everyone, some are just plain cruel. They dominate you, show off, taunt, swear, and try to kick you if you fight back.

It's just like everyday life. Most of the people who you are unfamiliar with ignore you, those who are your rivals either like to taunt you, or respect you for your skill and help you improve.

If you think TF2 community is toxic try playing Dota or LoL.
Why do you play on Valve Servers? Any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, including this kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, can happen there

Truth. Maybe MVM from what I've heard but that's hearsay for me.
