How do I get a static crosshair?
I've been using the ambassador only and I will be for quite some time until I can hit more heads than stabby. I'm getting tired of the crosshair expanding as it's not accurate and also not needed. If you don't know what a static crosshair is it's one that doesn't expand. Anyone know how to do this?

Amby xhair always expands, it's actually pretty useful for telling when you can headshot and when you cant because it can't headshot when it's expanded at all
Equipping Amby makes the "normal" crosshair smaller than your default settings too, it's a weapon attribute

You can headshot when you hear the click with auto reload on. There are still numerous milliseconds after you hear the click that the crosshair is still expanded. So you are misinformed.

That's because you're using the +reload exploit you dunderhead
Holding down the reload button (or just putting +reload in console) makes single-shot, full-reload weapons (Shortstop, FaN, Soda Popper, and all Spy revolvers) reload much faster than they were intended to be, so for all intents and purposes you're exploiting a bug and the effect you're describing is unintentional on the part of the devs.
The coded (and intended) reload time is ~200 milliseconds longer than the spread reset time, and thus would always finish reloading after the spread has resetted.

Well ok yeah, but still I think a static crosshair would be better for lining shots up either way.
How do i get one thats not static..?? Help pls

The solution is a custom crosshair. There are HUDs that already come with some. I personally use this one: https://tf2huds.dev/hud/WeirdcoreHUD
Trying with a custom crosshair solves the problem completely.
